Outreach beyond our community is important as well. Following are some we participate in:
Mobility Worldwide: We are proud to have purchased over 50 mobility carts, which have been sent around the globe.
Heifer International: Look for the quarter tube at the top of the stairs, just outside the office.
Ingathering: Held the first Thursday in November for the past 42 years, Eagle Grove United Methodist Church is actively involved. The church has collected and assembled a variety of kits, distributed through Midwest Mission Distribution Center. Full details for Ingathering flier can be obtained by clicking here.
Ingathering Kits: EGUMC has focused on the Personal Dignity and Student kits. You may certainly contribute items for other kits. You may also bring individual items, without completing a full kit. All kit items must be NEW. Kits should only include kit items, no cash. Kits should contain ONLY the requested items. No handprints, footprints, paw prints, or camouflage on fabrics. Tubs for your contributions will be in the narthex. There will also be one-handle school bags there for you to take and fill. Midwest Mission Kits, Projects, and Patterns: You can find instructions and patterns online by clicking here or contact the church and we will get you patterns. Yes, items in the kits change from year to year. Midwest Mission talks with those receiving the kits, and adjustments are made every January to give items most needed.
